Nearly 20,000 people work in Sonoma’s local tourism industry. Of these 20,000, one near and dear to our organization has been selected by Sonoma County for her philanthropic work and leadership in the community.
Ratna Ling’s very own Rosalyn White, Co-Director of the Retreat Center, has been named a “Face of Sonoma County Tourism,” recognized for her work operating a destination resort whose earnings help keep the traditions and works of Tibetan culture alive.
Indeed, Ratna Ling exists not just as a meditative haven for relaxation, but also as an organization striving to preserve the Tibetan Buddhist culture and transmit its teachings to the modern western world. Although Ratna Ling is perhaps best known for its sublime scenery and rejuvenating retreats, Tibetan Lama Tarthang Tulku founded the Center in 2004 to serve as an intentional community of teachers, students, and resident volunteers committed to practicing spirituality in everyday life.
