Massage is an important part of the Tibetan healing tradition. Even one treatment can awaken your sense of wellbeing, peace and wonder at life.  All of our expert bodywork and massage practitioners at Ratna Ling have many decades of experience in their field.  We are honored to offer their services during your stay with us.

Some of our therapists are resident volunteers at Ratna Ling. After any expenses, all of our treatment income is a donation to Ratna Ling and its sister organizations working to preserve Tibetan culture around the world.

Please make your appointments as soon as you can, as our therapists are almost always booked in advance.  If you have any questions, or want to book an appointment, please feel free to contact our office at massage@ratnaling.org or call, 510-809-4995.

Experience our state of the art specialty massage:

Syntropy Insight Bodywork

This unique combination of massage modalities addresses each person exactly where they are at the moment. Combining gentle movement and stretches, pressure points, Tibetan-style energy balancing, positional release and a healing touch, this massage will allow the body to fully relax into its greatest potential.  Our very experienced practitioners consider your current emotional and physical issues to allow healing, balance, and relaxation in a deep and significant way.  In this massage, the client remains fully clothed.

Acupressure

Acupressure has been used for thousands of years in China and applies the same principles as acupuncture to promote relaxation and wellness. Pressure is applied along meridians, or channels, in your body. These are the same energy meridians and acupoints as those targeted with acupuncture. It is believed that through these invisible channels flows vital energy — or a life force called qi. The treatment is relaxing and rejuvenating.  In this massage, the client remains fully clothed.

Polarity Therapy

Based on the Ayurvedic system used in India for thousands of years,  polarity balances the energy systems and elements in the body using gentle touch to inspire the system to relax and come into peace and harmony. In this very relaxing massage, the client remains fully clothed.

Tibetan Singing Bowl Treatment

In this profoundly relaxing treatment, the Tibetan Bowls, made of seven metals, are played around and on the body to bring balance and harmony to the seven chakras, or energy centers.  The client is lying on the massage table, fully clothed while the bowls are sounded, allowing the deep vibration of the bowls to enter and recalibrate the entire body.  A once in a lifetime experience.

Breema® Bodywork

This form of bodywork is done fully clothed on a padded floor, using stretches and nurturing holds, with a balance of gentleness and firmness. It is beneficial for anyone who wishes to bring more balance and harmony into their life, as it supports and nurtures that which is already vital in the recipient.

Swedish Massage

The most well-known style of massage, Swedish massage using soft, long, kneading strokes as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes on the topmost layers of muscles.  Swedish massage can be both relaxing and energizing.

We add your own specially selected Floracopeia Essentail oils diffused in the treatment room or added to your massage lotion to enhance your experience. $10 additional
