Developing Balance through Yoga and Ayurveda:

Embracing  Spring

Coming out of your winter hibernation can be challenging, especially when it’s cold and wet outside and warm and snug inside. It’s important to embrace spring earlier, rather than later, to allow our metabolism and mind set to enliven and help melt the winter blues. Being aware of the foods we consume, the activities we enjoy and the frame of mind we adopt in this season is key to staying healthy.

In Ayurveda, this is known as Kapha season, the time of year where we must focus on uplifting interactions, warming and lighter foods and invigorating activities.

In this 3-day retreat, you will learn how to:

  • Understand your unique Ayurvedic mind & body type and how to keep balanced
  • Use seasonal foods and recipes to remain healthy
  • Adopt new activities to invigorate the physiology
  • Detoxify the digestive system
  • Engage in a grounding and enlivening yoga practice
  • Use breath (pranayama) to prevent sluggishness and reduce stress

Prior to the retreat you will receive a link to a “Dosha Evaluation”, and when you arrive, an Ayurvedic workbook will be provided.  During the retreat, you will receive an individual Ayurvedic  Evaluation (valued at $325), personal home Yoga practice and take home seasonally balancing amenities from Aveda.

Retreat Costs

Accommodations: $715 per person for double occupancy (private room), $915 per person for a private cottage

Includes lodging for three nights in a deluxe 2 bedroom cottage in a tranquil wilderness setting , 8 nourishing vegetarian meals, served buffet-style (We are able to accommodate most food allergies andor dietary restrictions). Our property and the surrounding areas feature beautiful nature trails, popular bike routes and meditation gardens.

Classes: $650

Six Classes including four on Yoga, one on Qi Gung, and two on Ayurveda. Also includes Dosha Quiz, Ayurveda Workbook and Ayurvedic evaluation (a $325 value)
