Alex is a recording musician and yogi from Arizona. After many years of sitting hunched-over behind a computer, he came to yoga as a way to heal his body and restore his posture. He began practicing Ashtanga balanced with restorative yoga. Alex completed his 200-hour teacher training with Shivakali Yoga, where he learned that through asana and meditation, he could practice bodhicitta, an intention to free all beings from suffering. In addition to yoga asana, Alex is a multi-instrumentalist musician and leads Kirtan practices. He is a natural teacher and hopes to lead others toward a path of deep self-exploration and ultimately liberation.
