Retreats with Our Resident Instructors
At Ratna Ling, our resident instructors offer more than retreat programming — they invite you into a living mandala of presence, devotion, and transformation. As long-time residents and practitioners trained in the lineage of Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche, they bring warmth, wisdom, and deep practice experience to every offering.
Retreats at Ratna Ling unfold in the sacred rhythm of this land — surrounded by redwoods, nourished by silence, and held in the spirit of service. Whether you’re seeking rest, insight, or connection, these retreats are gateways to the heart of contemplative living.
Founded by Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche, a master of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, Ratna Ling is part of a constellation of organizations dedicated to preserving sacred teachings and transforming self and society. These include Odiyan Retreat Center, Nyingma Institute, Dharma College, Dharma Publishing, Tibetan Aid Project, and Yeshe De Project.
Our resident instructors live and practice within this greater mandala, embodying the principles of caring, peace, compassion, and wisdom as taught by Tarthang Tulku. Every retreat is an extension of this living transmission.
These offerings are shaped not only by teachings — but by the lived commitment of our instructors to inner work, collective harmony, and compassionate presence.
