Imagine this coming new year and as you imagine consider how you want to show up for yourself, your loved ones, and your coworkers.  Here, you can take the time to reflect on your thoughts, words, and actions, and learn to create spaciousness in your mind.  Through meditation, you become more aware of the patterns that drive and motivate your actions. This January retreat is designed for you to get to know yourself better and consider how you want your 2026 to unfold.

This retreat is open to all levels of meditators, from beginners to experienced. Chairs are optional.

  • Loving-kindness Meditation
  • Sound Meditation
  • Meditation in Nature
  • Tibetan Yoga  (Kum Nye) and Mantra
  • Reading materials and a journal for self-reflection

  • 1:00-1:30     Temple Tour (optional)
  • 1:00-4:30     Quiet Time
  • 3:30 – 4:15.   Optional Sitting Meditation Session
  • 4:30-5:30     Loving-kindness Meditation

  • 6:30-8:00     Tibetan Bowl Sound Meditation

  • spacious deck, jacuzzi tub, linens/towels/hand soap, kitchenette with tea & coffee, complimentary wireless internet. Towels and hand soap are provided.

Maria Helena Kubrusly brings more than three decades of dedicated practice, study, and teaching within the Nyingma tradition to her work as a retreat leader. Born and raised in Brazil, Maria Helena was a founding member of the Nyingma Center in Rio de Janeiro, where she taught classes and guided retreats.
